Terms of use

1. What Grammatique is

Grammatique (ru.grammatique.app) is a platform where teachers and learners work on languages together. Teachers prepare topics and exercises — also from their own materials — give assignments and hold online lessons; learners practise, keep a dictionary and follow their progress. It is run by the operator of ru.grammatique.app.

Grammatique is a set of software tools for communication and practice, not an educational organisation: we do not provide educational services, run educational programmes, assess learners or issue documents about education. Teachers teach on their own behalf and under their own responsibility; arrangements between a teacher and a learner (lessons, schedules, payment) concern only them.

Why we do it: a language is a key to a culture. The easier languages are to learn, the more people discover other cultures — and the better the world keeps their variety.

2. Accepting these terms

By using the platform or creating an account you accept these terms and the privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

3. Your account

  • You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email or with Yandex. Keep access to your email safe: whoever can read it can sign in.
  • One account is for one person. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
  • Here you are known by a nickname — how you introduce yourself. You choose it yourself, and by entering it you agree that other users see it. We do not ask for your first or last name. Your email is never shown to other users; your nickname and role (learner or teacher) can be changed in your profile.

4. Age

The platform is for people aged 16 or older. Younger people may use it only with the consent of a parent or guardian — for example, through a teacher who has that consent.

5. Teachers and learners

Teachers connect with learners by invitation. A teacher sees their learners' results, assignments and what happens in their online lessons; either side can disconnect at any time. Teachers decide what and how they teach, and are responsible for it — including having the right to invite learners and the consent needed for minors.

6. Materials on the platform

Most of what you find here comes from users: topics asked for by learners and teachers, and materials teachers upload for their learners.

  • The platform moderates and processes them — checks and edits them — to improve their quality and to prevent misuse. What is held back by the checks is looked at by administrators.
  • Even so, we cannot guarantee that materials, translations or dictionary entries are correct, complete or suitable for a particular purpose. They are for practice and are not professional advice.
  • If you notice a mistake, or content that should not be here, please tell us through the feedback form — we will correct or remove it.

7. Your content

  • Your topic requests, uploaded materials, remarks, notes, messages and dictionary words remain yours. You allow us to store, process and show them as needed to run the platform.
  • A topic made from your request or your materials may be published for all users; it stays in the catalog, without your nickname, after you delete your account.
  • Upload only materials you have the right to use and share this way (your own, or ones whose licence allows it), and no one's personal data.

8. Acceptable use

Do not: try to get around limits or security; use requests, remarks or uploaded materials for anything other than learning, or to interfere with how the platform processes them; send or upload spam, abusive or illegal content, or materials that infringe someone else's rights; harass other people; overload the platform or collect its content automatically; use someone else's account. We may refuse requests, limit features, mute messages or block accounts that break these rules.

9. Plans, limits and promo codes

The free plan has daily limits. Paid plans are described on the plans page; at the moment no payments are taken. A promo code can be used once, one per person in a campaign; it has no cash value, may expire and cannot be exchanged.

10. Availability

The platform is provided as it is. We work to keep it running, but it may be interrupted, and features and limits may change.

11. Liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for materials created or uploaded by users, for how teachers teach and learners learn, for indirect losses, or for lost data or results. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

12. Ending

You can stop using the platform at any time and delete your account yourself in your profile, confirming it with a code sent to your email. Your lessons, attempts and results, dictionary, connections, assignments and likes are then deleted for good. Topics you made stay in the catalog without your nickname; to have them deleted too, write to us through the feedback form before you delete the account. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms.

13. Changes

We may update these terms; the date above changes, and important changes are announced on the platform. Using it after a change means you accept the new terms.
